Now in the 21st century, artificial intelligence robots are showing signs of dramatically changing our society and our lives. At the Davos Forum in January 2016, the change in industry that artificial intelligence robots will bring is called the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Even if the term "the fourth industrial revolution" is not appropriate, it is clear that our industry will change due to the appearance of artificial intelligence robots. As with all technology, the beginning of change will begin with military and medical use. In daily life, unmanned vehicles and exoskeleton robots are avant-garde. In this seminar, we will look at various robots that will appear in the future and try to predict how the industry will change.
Dr. Sungjin Ahn is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Montreal, working with Prof. Yoshua Bengio on deep learning and its applications. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine, under the supervision of Prof. Max Welling. During his Ph.D. program, Dr. Ahn has co-developed the Stochastic Gradient MCMC algorithms and awarded two best paper awards in the International Conference on Machine Learning in 2012 and in the ParLearning 2016, respectively. His research interests include deep learning, approximate Bayesian inference, and reinforcement learning
