Hyperloop One
In this talk, I will walk through a pipeline of single target tracking system. This system was developed to enabling a consumer-grade, quad-ropter to autonomously follow a selected target. My talk will mostly cover three computer vision algorithms for 1) tapping to choose an object, 2) single-target tracking algorithm, and 3) visual servoing.
Dr. YoungWoo Seo is the Senior Director of Autonomous Systems Dev at the Hyperloop One. Hyperloop One Autonomous Systems Dev team is building a fully-autonomous system with advanced robotics technologies into hyper-structures, pods, and portals that will enable on-demand, direct transportation with no-stops, real-time scheduling, traffic and load predictions, interoperability with last-mile providers, unparalleled passenger safety and comfort, and predictive operations and maintenance. Prior to joining Hyperloop One, YoungWoo led the development of autonomous flight stack for Autel Robotics's next-generation drone, led a team of engineers to deliver a part of the next-generation products at the special project group of Apple, and was a technical consultant for Cruise Automation (acquired by GM). YoungWoo has an exemplary research background and has co-authored a multitude of research papers on the subjects of autonomous driving, perception, computer vision, and field-robotics. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Masters of Science in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, a Masters of Computer Science from Seoul National University, and a Bachelors of Computer Science from Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea.
