Empowering children to take control of their own learning Kitkit School, a project developed by a Berkeley-based EdTech company Enuma, was just announced as one of the two winners of the Global Learning XPRIZE. XPRIZE has launched many competitions to encourage technological development that could benefit humanity for the last 25 years. In particular, the Global Learning XPRIZE is a $15-million prize to create mobile apps to have children to teach themselves basic reading, writing, and arithmetic. After 15 months-long field test in rural villages in Tanzania, the five-year competition is over. In this talk, Gunho will share experiences along the journey with the glimpse of the data collected throughout this unprecedented experiment.
