The 6G era will be defined by the symbiosis of digital, physical, and biological worlds with the goal to augment human potential and wellbeing, e.g., metaverse, and the 6G network will be the essential infrastructure for the integration of these future capabilities. To understand what’s 6G and how it looks, we will overview key 6G projects which are globally happening, then what are 6G usecases and service requirement. From there, we will summarize various candidate technologies to enable the 6G vision, and deep dive into a few key technologies for 6G networking.
